Julie spent her early childhood growing up in San Diego, California until her father, who served in the Air Force, was stationed overseas in Germany. She spent 3 years living in Germany and traveling to many parts of Europe. Upon returning to the States, her family moved to San Bernardino, California where she graduated high school. After graduation, she relocated back to San Diego and began contemplating her career path. The legal career field was appealing because Julie has a natural ability to research, organize and problem solve.
Julie married Pete in 2002 and they moved to Arizona. Her chosen career path would take her into many areas of law which include estate planning, trust administration, criminal, civil, and family. Julie’s desire to experience life inside the courtroom led her to a position with the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office where she was able to assist with the management of high-profile capital trials.
Julie’s decision to enter back into private practice led her to seek a firm that mirrored her same work philosophies and ethics. At Monahan Law Firm she enjoys being part of a team that is truly passionate about helping people and is committed to quality work. Julie supports the attorneys in all aspects of case management, case development, and client relations.
When Julie is away from the office, she values time spent with her husband Pete, their two sons Jordan and Jaxson, and their beloved dog Tucker. Julie and her husband are part of the vintage car club community in Phoenix and many of her weekends are spent attending club events with friends. She also enjoys live music, action movies, and scenic road trips.
